Parted out a Fully Functional Laguna's ! Unbelievable... I found the previous auction where he got a pretty good price for them though (803A's).

The sad reality is that the components are much more saleable and shippable than the assembled speaker systems. That pair of 802's will bring more than you could get for the complete Lagunas in my neck of the woods.

To remain whole, they need to find a person who has not only the means and real estate for them, but also the ability to love them as they are. Otherwise, they still end up parted or modified beyond an easy return to original.

FWIW, i've never heard much whining about folks stuffing a modern powertrain in a '32 Ford.

True, but there are probably more original surviving Fords of any given year than there are Lagunas. And where Lagunas are very useable, ever tried to do the freeway in an early '30's Ford?
Your neighbors called. They like your music.

Can't argue with either point OG, they're both good ones.

Sadly, a lot of good old speakers are like stray dogs at the pound. We can each take good care of a few. But, all of us together can't save em all.

I talked to the owner and the speakers were not Altec Lagunas -- so don't feel too bad, guys. I will try to attach pictures for posterity.

Here are the dimensions: 29" deep by 18" wide by 54" high.
